IC693PWR322 More information:

The IC693PWR322 is a standard 30-watt power supply unit (PSU) from GE Fanuc, designed to operate with an input voltage range of 24–48 VDC. It features three distinct output channels: +5 VDC, isolated +24 VDC, and +24 VDC relay output, each tailored to specific system power requirements.

Each output channel serves a dedicated function:

The +5 VDC output provides power to the PLC backplane;
The +24 VDC relay output supplies power to circuits on Series 90-30 Relay modules;
The isolated +24 VDC output supports select modules attached to the 90-30 backplane and delivers external power to 24 VDC 90-30 input modules.

The IC693PWR322 is equipped with four status indicators: PWR LED, OK LED, RUN LED, and BATT LED, for real-time operational monitoring. It also includes a 9-pin sub-D RS485 communication port, enabling connections to compatible devices such as programming workstations, GE Fanuc Hand-Held Programmers, and other RS485-compliant equipment.

In terms of protective features, the PSU incorporates overvoltage and overcurrent protection for the +5 VDC output: the overvoltage protection limit is 6.4–7 V, and the maximum overcurrent protection is 4 A. It maintains a holdup time of 14 ms and a maximum ride-through time of 10 ms, ensuring stable power delivery during transient disruptions.

Engineered to withstand inrush currents of up to 4 A for 100 ms, the IC693PWR322 has a maximum input power requirement of 50 watts under full load. It houses a RAM backup battery that preserves RAM contents; this battery can be replaced with the IC693ACC301 replacement unit.

An internal input overvoltage protection device is connected to Pin 4 of the terminal board, which is normally linked to Pin 3 via a jumper strap. The PSU is fitted with a 15-pin D-type female connector, accessible through a hinged front-panel door, facilitating communication with the PLC’s serial port for connections to computers or handheld programmers.

For safe installation, the module must be fully disconnected from the input power supply to prevent electrical damage. All installation procedures should adhere to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
